Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!! I hope you have a great day and that you know I am thinking about you today and always!! Love you!!

Today is a gorgeous day! I am well rested and very content with my time here so far. Though I can't wait to get some new people at camp because, since I am the only new person, everyone is kind of acting like know-it-alls. I don't mind - they are all very nice - but I'm a bit sick of hearing, "I know none of this makes sense right now, but it will after one week...trust me. You'll be just fine." Most all of what they have told me, I already expected - this job is exhausting, the sleeping quarters suck sometimes, be careful about some of the food, days are long but weeks are short (if that makes sense)...but I also have learned other interesting things as well - there are tics at Thebe (A LOT of them) so I must be sure to check myself all the time, camp is typically really flexible, I don't need to be up until 8:30am (yes!) every morning, there is basically a fete (festival) every weekend in villages near Thebe that all the counselors go to...Exciting! Hopefully, I will also get to see the Tour de France when it goes through the area around July 16.

Everything is lovely here; plus, it's funny because almost all the people I have met so far remind me of people I already know...for example (these are all camp names, typically, we don't really even know what people's real names are), Rae looks like Sara Nelson (a friend), Belle looks like Meg (I don't remember her last name - I worked at Admissions with her), Shania looks like Holly Vandervelden (a friend), Carlos looks like Eric Clapton or Chuck Norris (neither of which I know), Raku looks like an ex-boyfriend of mine, Raz looks like a girlfriend of one of my friends... you get the point. It's weird; I'll have to show you the pics when I get back.

PEOPLE READING THIS: I need a camp name by 5pm tonight (10am your time)!!!Please help me!!!
